6.21 Department of Excise and Taxation
As this department has important role in generating revenue for state and they
have important data base for inter and intra state trade data. Hence a statistical
cell is urgently required to be established in the department.
Recommendation under ISSP:
1. Proposed Manpower structure:
As on today department have one post of statistical Assistant Keeping in the view
data requirements of the department there is a need to provide statistical
manpower at Head Quarter & district level.
