DESHP Himachal Pradesh State Strategic Statistical Plan 280 Success of ambitions projects like the SSSP needs closer monitoring not only by the statutory devises involved in the ISSP but also by introducing transparent corrective measures in form of internal statistical auditing on an annual basis by independent bodies created by the State Govt. whose Annual Report on its implementations of the goals specified. Such an auditing mechanism will improve not the reliability and timeliness of the data collection system but also data dissemination. One percent of the project cost may be earmarked for the purpose.
