i) Due to different file structure & data processing platforms at the state level,<br />

it is time consuming to convert NSSO data filed in to state sample.<br />

ii) Necessary guidelines for pooling have to be provided by NSSO.<br />

iii) Training workshops have to be organised by NSSO to help pooling.<br />

e) Publications<br />

Publication has been brought out from the 60 th Round regularly<br />

f) Interaction with other organisations<br />

DES interacts regularly with NSSO (FOD) for all field activities<br />

g) Data flow<br />

The basic data comes from the field. The investigators collect the data from the<br />

field and it flows to the District Statistical Offices from where the data are<br />

received at Head Quarters <strong>of</strong> the DES.<br />

h) Manpower<br />

This is given in the table below:<br />
