When Cetshwayo's Usuthu faction came to Mpande he reproached it,
sayIDg:
"So you have killed my children? Why
didn't you bring me back something of
Mangenendlovini (Mantantashiya)? "46
The izindun!!, Masiphula and Mfusi, argued with Mpande:
"What are you saying? For did you not
in fact point Cetshwayo out to the White
people, and did they not cut a
distinguishing mark on his ear? "41
Morris painted a rather dismal picture ofthe battle ofNdondakusuka:
