Furthermore, aims usually involve long-term goals and have a greater
measure of performance. Objectives are short-term goals. They are
the results to be achieved to a certain standard. 3 In this study the aims
and objectives are to:
gIVe an exposition of the reIgn of Mpande, the longest
reIgmng monarch in the history of the Zulu Kingdom;
establish a general view ofa dynasty ofmartial kings whose
genius transformed and consolidated simple people into a
nation ofwarriors;
highlight the underlying factors for the acceSSIOn of
Mpande;
