As can be seen in Figure 2, the majority (67.8%) <strong>of</strong> a<strong>do</strong>lescents who self-recognized<br />

<strong>depression</strong> in their lifetime thought that they needed to talk to someone when depressed.<br />

Furthermore, the majority (78.5%) <strong>of</strong> a<strong>do</strong>lescents who thought that they needed to talk to<br />

someone when depressed actually did talk to someone.<br />

Fifty-six percent <strong>of</strong> the boys (n = 40) and 74% <strong>of</strong> the girls (n = 84) who self-recognized<br />

<strong>depression</strong> in their lifetime, thought that they needed to talk to someone when depressed. When<br />

it came to talking to someone when feeling depressed, 70% <strong>of</strong> the boys (n = 28) and 80% <strong>of</strong> the<br />
