EXHIBIT A<br />

The CONTRACTOR shall Monitor for Compliance that each Placed Child<br />

has the amount <strong>of</strong> clothing listed within the timeframes stated in the DCFS<br />

Clothing St<strong>and</strong>ard (Exhibit A-VI).<br />

3.7.10 Clothing Size, Condition, Appropriateness, Selection, Cleaning, Mending,<br />

monitoring, etc<br />

Clothing shall fit according to industry size charts <strong>and</strong> shall never be too<br />

small or more than two sizes larger than actual measurements indicate.<br />

The clothing shall also be clean, in good condition, <strong>and</strong> appropriate for the<br />

intended use <strong>and</strong> season, including the school dress code. The<br />

CONTRACTOR shall not provide used/second h<strong>and</strong> underwear or shoes.<br />

The CONTRACTOR may use donations <strong>of</strong> new clothing to meet the DCFS<br />

Clothing St<strong>and</strong>ard (Exhibit A-VI). The Placed Child shall be involved in the<br />

selection <strong>of</strong> clothing based on the developmental level <strong>of</strong> the child. The<br />

clothing is the property <strong>of</strong> the Placed Child <strong>and</strong> shall be retained by the<br />

Placed Child or his/her representative upon termination <strong>of</strong> placement. The<br />

CONTRACTOR shall Monitor for Compliance that Certified Foster Parents<br />

provide for laundry, dry cleaning, <strong>and</strong> mending <strong>of</strong> clothing in accordance<br />

with the Program Statement.<br />

3.7.11 Special Clothing Needs<br />

The CONTRACTOR shall Monitor for Compliance that Certified Foster<br />

Parents plan with the Placed Child <strong>and</strong> arrange for the purchase (as<br />

appropriate) <strong>of</strong> school uniforms, sports clothing, sports equipment, special<br />

occasion clothing, <strong>and</strong> other necessary items for dances, proms, <strong>and</strong><br />

graduation.<br />

3.7.12 Clothing Storage <strong>and</strong> Security<br />

Certified Foster Parents shall provide appropriate storage for the Placed<br />

Child’s clothing. The COUNTY underst<strong>and</strong>s that clothing <strong>of</strong>ten<br />

disappears, particularly during home visits, <strong>and</strong> that clothing security is not<br />

entirely within the CONTRACTOR’S control. All losses shall be<br />

documented as part <strong>of</strong> the clothing inventory, including a brief description<br />

<strong>of</strong> the circumstances involved. The CONTRACTOR shall report two or<br />

more instances <strong>of</strong> clothing loss in a six-month period to the CSW.<br />

3.7.13 Collection <strong>and</strong> Storage <strong>of</strong> Personal Belongings at Termination <strong>of</strong><br />

Placement<br />

When the Placed Child is discharged, the CONTRACTOR shall ensure<br />

that the Placed Child’s clothing accompanies the Placed Child to the next<br />

placement. If the Placed Child runs away, the CONTRACTOR shall<br />

Monitor for Compliance that the Certified Foster Parents collect all<br />

personal belongings, alert the CSW that they are at the home, <strong>and</strong>, if the<br />

CSW does not collect the belongings, store them for up to 14 calendar<br />
