minimum waiting time for clearance. CONTRACTOR shall require that<br />

individuals with either a clearance or an exemption report any subsequent<br />

arrest, conviction, <strong>and</strong> probation or parole violation, to CONTRACTOR<br />

<strong>and</strong> CCLD within 48 hours.<br />

18.4 CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify COUNTY, if CONTRACTOR<br />

learns, from a Child Abuse Index check or other means, <strong>of</strong> any arrest<br />

<strong>and</strong>/or subsequent conviction, other than for minor traffic <strong>of</strong>fenses, <strong>of</strong> any<br />

employee, independent contractor, volunteer staff or Subcontractor who<br />

may come in contact with Placed <strong>Children</strong> while providing Services under<br />

this Contract when such information becomes known to CONTRACTOR.<br />

19.0 EMPLOYEE BENEFITS AND TAXES<br />

19.1 CONTRACTOR shall be solely responsible for providing to, or on behalf<br />

<strong>of</strong> its employees, all legally required salaries, wages, benefits, or other<br />

compensation.<br />

19.2 COUNTY shall have no liability or responsibility for any taxes, including,<br />

without limitation, sales, income, employee withholding <strong>and</strong>/or property<br />

taxes which may be imposed in connection with or resulting from this<br />

Contract or CONTRACTOR’s performance hereunder.<br />

20.0 EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION<br />

CONTRACTOR warrants that it fully complies with all Federal statutes <strong>and</strong><br />

regulations regarding employment <strong>of</strong> aliens <strong>and</strong> others, <strong>and</strong> that all its employees<br />

performing Services hereunder meet the citizenship or alien status requirements<br />

contained in Federal statutes <strong>and</strong> regulations. CONTRACTOR shall obtain, from<br />

all covered employees performing Services hereunder, all verification <strong>and</strong> other<br />

documentation <strong>of</strong> employment eligibility status required by Federal statutes <strong>and</strong><br />

regulations as they currently exist <strong>and</strong> as they may be hereafter amended.<br />

CONTRACTOR shall retain such documentation <strong>of</strong> all covered employees for the<br />

period prescribed by law. CONTRACTOR shall indemnify, defend, <strong>and</strong> hold<br />

harmless, COUNTY, its <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>and</strong> employees from employer sanctions <strong>and</strong> any<br />

other liability which may be assessed against CONTRACTOR or COUNTY in<br />

connection with any alleged violation <strong>of</strong> Federal statutes or regulations pertaining<br />

to the eligibility for employment <strong>of</strong> persons performing Services under this<br />

Contract.<br />

21.0 EVENTS OF DEFAULT<br />

21.1 Default for Non-Performance<br />

COUNTY may terminate the whole or any part <strong>of</strong> this Contract either<br />

immediately or within such longer time period as noticed by COUNTY, if<br />

DCFS GH Contract<br />
