• Follow-up to ensure appropriate delivery <strong>of</strong> services<br />

Service Environment<br />

Service providers will deliver services in a clean, safe, <strong>and</strong> welcoming<br />

environment, which supports the effective delivery <strong>of</strong> services.<br />

• Ensure a safe environment<br />

• Ensure a pr<strong>of</strong>essional atmosphere<br />

• Display vision, mission, <strong>and</strong> values statements<br />

• Provide a clean <strong>and</strong> comfortable waiting area<br />

• Ensure privacy<br />

• Post complaint <strong>and</strong> appeals procedures<br />

The basis for all COUNTY health <strong>and</strong> human services contracts is the provision<br />

<strong>of</strong> the highest level <strong>of</strong> quality services that support improved outcomes for<br />

children <strong>and</strong> families. The COUNTY <strong>and</strong> its contracting partners must work<br />

together <strong>and</strong> share a commitment to achieve a common vision, goals, outcomes,<br />

<strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards for providing services.<br />

2.0 OVERVIEW:<br />

2.1 The Juvenile Court gives responsibility for the care, custody, <strong>and</strong> control<br />

for each ward to the <strong>Los</strong> <strong>Angeles</strong> <strong>County</strong> Probation <strong>Department</strong><br />

(Probation) <strong>and</strong> for each dependent child to <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Children</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

Family Services (DCFS). The Board <strong>of</strong> Supervisors, through the Contract,<br />

gives authorization for the placement <strong>of</strong> DCFS dependent children <strong>and</strong><br />

Probation wards in contracted group homes.<br />

2.2 A Group Home (GH) means any facility <strong>of</strong> any capacity, which provides<br />

24–hour care <strong>and</strong> supervision to children in a structured environment, with<br />

such Services provided at least in part by staff employed by the licensee.<br />

The care <strong>and</strong> supervision provided by a group home shall be non-medical<br />

except as permitted by Welfare <strong>and</strong> Institutions Code (WIC) 17736(b).<br />

2.3 The Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regulations that apply to<br />

group homes are from the Manual <strong>of</strong> Policies <strong>and</strong> Procedures, Title 22,<br />

including but not limited to:<br />
