Plan/Quarterly Reports in cooperation with the placing <strong>County</strong> Worker<br />

as specified in Title 22, Sections 84068.2(a) <strong>and</strong> 84068.3; <strong>and</strong> (4)<br />

completing the discharge plan as specified in Title 22, Section<br />

84068.4 <strong>and</strong> Exhibit FF, Discharge Summary: Group Home.<br />

(c) Qualified social work or mental health pr<strong>of</strong>essionals provide<br />

counseling Services that: (1) adequately meet the individual<br />

counseling needs <strong>of</strong> each Placed Child; <strong>and</strong> (2) meet or exceed the<br />

counseling Services specified in the CONTRACTOR’S Program<br />

Statement <strong>and</strong> generate sufficient points in the social work <strong>and</strong>/or<br />

mental health components <strong>of</strong> the CONTRACTOR’S program to<br />

support the CONTRACTOR’S RCL;<br />

(d) Qualified social work or mental health pr<strong>of</strong>essionals provide<br />

counseling Services for the permanent family 2 as follows: (1) for RCL<br />

4, 5, 6, 7, 8, <strong>and</strong> 9 programs, not less than 2 hours per month or as<br />

specified in the Needs <strong>and</strong> Services Plan signed by the <strong>County</strong><br />

Worker; <strong>and</strong> (2) for RCL 10, 11, 12, <strong>and</strong> 14 programs, not less than 4<br />

hours per month or as specified in the Needs <strong>and</strong> Services Plan<br />

signed by the <strong>County</strong> Worker.<br />

For programs for developmentally disabled Placed <strong>Children</strong>, the<br />

CONTRACTOR shall provide social-work Services as approved by<br />

Regional Center or as agreed upon with DCFS <strong>and</strong>/or Probation.<br />

Some <strong>of</strong> these Services may be provided by a qualified mental<br />

retardation pr<strong>of</strong>essional as defined in Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 5,<br />

Section 84001(q).<br />

5.5 Duties <strong>of</strong> the Psychologist <strong>and</strong> Psychiatrist:<br />

For RCL 4 through 12 programs, the CONTRACTOR shall provide as<br />

needed Services <strong>of</strong> a psychologist for psychological testing <strong>and</strong> treatment<br />

<strong>and</strong> a physician or psychiatrist to prescribe <strong>and</strong> monitor psychotropic<br />

medications. For RCL 14 programs, the CONTRACTOR shall arrange for<br />

these Services plus any additional mental health Services required by the<br />

DMH for certification.<br />

5.6 Staff Language Requirements:<br />

The CONTRACTOR shall provide childcare staff, mental health personnel,<br />

<strong>and</strong> social work personnel who are pr<strong>of</strong>icient in both speaking <strong>and</strong> writing<br />

the language(s) <strong>of</strong> the Placed <strong>Children</strong> <strong>and</strong> family(ies). The<br />

CONTRACTOR may comply with this requirement by providing equivalent<br />

bi-lingual resources for social work <strong>and</strong> mental health needs.<br />

2 This assumes that the <strong>County</strong> worker has identified the Placed Child’s permanent family in the Needs<br />

<strong>and</strong> Services Plan, <strong>and</strong> the family is willing to participate in the services provided.<br />
