234 Analyzing Screening Designs Chapter 8
Launch the Screening Platform
For this example, Catalyst, Temperature, and Concentration, along with two of their two-factor
interactions, are selected.
Launch the Screening Platform
Launch the Screening platform by selecting Analyze > Modeling > Screening.
Note: This window was used to produce the report in Figure 8.3.
For details about the launch window, see the Using JMP book.
The Screening Report
Contrasts
The Screening report window contains the Contrasts report and the Half Normal plot. To see an example of
the Screening report, see Figure 8.3.
The following table describes the information in the Contrasts report.
Table 8.1 Description of the Contrasts Report
Term
Contrast
Name of the factor.
Estimate for the factor. For orthogonal designs, this number is the same as
the regression parameter estimate. This is not the case for non-orthogonal
designs. An asterisk might appear next to the contrast, indicating a lack of
orthogonality.
