Example of Cox Mixtures<br />

1. Open the Five Factor Mixture.jmp sample data table.<br />

2. Select Analyze > Fit Model.<br />

3. Select Y1 <strong>and</strong> click Y.<br />

4. Select X1, X2, <strong>and</strong> X3.<br />

5. Click on Macros > Mixture Response Surface.<br />

6. Click Run.<br />

7. From the red triangle menu next to Response Y1, select Estimates > Cox Mixtures.<br />

8. Type the reference mixture points shown in Figure 3.15. Note that if the components of the reference<br />

point do not equal one, then the values are scaled so that they do equal one.<br />

9. Click OK.<br />

The report shows the parameter estimates along with st<strong>and</strong>ard errors, hypothesis tests, <strong>and</strong> the reference<br />

mixture.
