Note: Based <strong>on</strong> the lsdev -vpd command, the mappings exactly corresp<strong>on</strong>d<br />

to the slot numbering we intended (refer to Figure 3-26 <strong>on</strong> page 146). For<br />

example, the vhost0 device is slot number 20 (U9111.520.10DDEEC-V1-C20)<br />

<strong>on</strong> the Virtual I/O Server, which is then being shared to the NIM_server<br />

partiti<strong>on</strong>. The NIM_server partiti<strong>on</strong> has its virtual SCSI device slot set to 20.<br />

This is for easy associati<strong>on</strong> between virtual SCSI devices <strong>on</strong> the server and<br />

client side.<br />

4. Use the lsmap command to ensure that all logical c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong>s between newly<br />

created devices are correct, as shown in Example 3-13.<br />
