The <str<strong>on</strong>g>Advanced</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>POWER</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Virtualizati<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> feature is c<strong>on</strong>figured opti<strong>on</strong>ally and<br />

charged for all menti<strong>on</strong>ed systems above except for the 9119-590 and 595<br />

systems, which include the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Advanced</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>POWER</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Virtualizati<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> feature as a part of<br />

the base system c<strong>on</strong>figurati<strong>on</strong>. The software maintenance is charged additi<strong>on</strong>ally<br />

for all menti<strong>on</strong>ed systems.<br />

For each Virtual I/O Server license ordered, an order for either the <strong>on</strong>e-year<br />

(5771-VIO) or three-year (5773-VIO) Software Maintenance (SWMA) is also<br />

submitted. You must purchase a license for each active processor <strong>on</strong> the server.<br />

For an HMC attached system, the processor-based license enables you to install<br />

multiple Virtual I/O Server partiti<strong>on</strong>s <strong>on</strong> a single server to provide redundancy<br />

and to spread the I/O workload across multiple Virtual I/O Server partiti<strong>on</strong>s.<br />

The supported Virtual I/O clients are:<br />
