Although nodes C-1 and C-2 are physically c<strong>on</strong>nected to the same switch C,<br />

traffic between two nodes can be blocked. To enable communicati<strong>on</strong> between<br />

VLAN 1 and 2, L3 routing or inter-VLAN bridging would have to be established<br />

between them; this would typically be provided by an L3 device, for example, a<br />

router or firewall plugged into switch A.<br />
