6. Reboot the Virtual I/O Server.<br />

After the Virtual I/O Server is up and running again, we need to log in to the<br />

client partiti<strong>on</strong>s using the first updated VIOS to resynchr<strong>on</strong>ize the volume<br />

group <strong>on</strong> the mirrored client partiti<strong>on</strong> and to change the path status <strong>on</strong> the<br />

MPIO client partiti<strong>on</strong>. This will update the mirror to include any disk I/O that<br />

took place during the software upgrade.<br />

In a mirrored envir<strong>on</strong>ment, issue the lsvg command <strong>on</strong> the client partiti<strong>on</strong>s to<br />

check the status of your volume group:<br />

# lsvg -l rootvg<br />
