Special Topics<br />

This section addresses topic areas that have special relevance<br />

to coaching. As coaching has developed as a professional discipline,<br />

it has begun to play a larger role in those areas in which organizations<br />

have had a need to accelerate the employee learning process.<br />

Chapter 9: Assimilation <strong>Coaching</strong>. Organizations need to be able to<br />

assimilate new members quickly so that they can be as productive<br />

as possible in as short a timeframe as possible. Assimilation coaching<br />

helps a person adjust to a new organization by accelerating the<br />

learning process for newly placed individuals.<br />

programs have incorporated coaching as a way to help participants<br />

coaching, organizations can help their executives function more<br />

effectively in different countries and cultures across the globe.<br />

gives an organization a competitive advantage. <strong>Coaching</strong> can be<br />

used very effectively to accelerate leadership development for an<br />

organization’s diverse workforce.
