refugees, trafficking, child sexual abuse, child labour, scientific aids to investigation and scientific<br />
interrogation, which gave them further exposure to sharpen their professional skills and knowledge.<br />
These training programmes have been highly appreciated by the participants and have enabled<br />
the participants to carry forward the message of human rights to the lowest level functionaries<br />
in their respective fields. The <strong>Commission</strong> in the next year proposes to focus on the issues of<br />
<strong>Human</strong> <strong>Rights</strong> Education.<br />
13.18 Training Programmes conducted during 2004-05, alongwith other details, is placed at<br />
Annexure 13.<br />
13.19 In order to sensitise different stakeholders to the problem of human trafficking, the<br />
<strong>Commission</strong> organized a two-day training programme on ‘Combating Trafficking in<br />
Women and Children’ in January 2005 at Jaipur in collaboration with the<br />
Joint Women’s Programme, an NGO working for the protection of rights of women<br />
and children.<br />
13.20 The objectives of the training programme were to:-<br />

understand the trends, dimensions and magnitude of the problem of trafficking in women<br />
and children;<br />
●<br />
provide information on the existing laws to combat trafficking and its enforcement;<br />
●<br />
analyse issues relating to rehabilitation and repatriation of trafficked women and children<br />
once they are rescued; and<br />
●<br />
analyse the role of the governmental organisations and civil society in preventing and<br />
combating trafficking in women and children.<br />
13.21 The Judicial Officers, Police Officers and Government Officers from the States of<br />
Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and the representatives of the NGOs participated in<br />
this programme.<br />
13.22 The <strong>Commission</strong> organized a one-day Workshop on Prevention and Redressal of<br />
Sexual Harassment of Women in collaboration with the <strong>Human</strong> <strong>Rights</strong> Law<br />
Network, an NGO on 03-03-2005 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi for the Chairpersons/<br />
Members of the Sexual Harassment Complaints Committees that have been<br />
constituted in the various Ministries/Departments of the Central Government,<br />
in pursuance with the guidelines prescribed by the Supreme Court in Vishaka vs. State<br />
of Rajasthan.<br />
