Program Objectives<br />

The program is intended to prepare students for a<br />

job as an entry-level plant operator.<br />

Upon graduation from the program, learners will<br />

be eligible to apply for entry-level plant operator<br />

positions.<br />

Course of Studies<br />

• Introduction to Process Plant Systems -<br />

Systems and components common to process<br />

plants.<br />

• Process Fundamentals - Includes Math, Basic<br />

Physics, Techni<strong>ca</strong>l writing, Basic Hand tools,<br />

Computer Skills, and Drafting.<br />

• Introduction to Process Plant Operations<br />

- Develop and conduct basic operating<br />

procedures.<br />

• Plant Tours - The opportunity to see the inner<br />

workings of different industry processes.<br />

• Work Experience - Compliment a<strong>ca</strong>demic<br />

studies with related work experience and to<br />

gain industrial experience related to field of<br />

study.<br />

Required:<br />

• High School Graduation<br />

• Principles of Math 11 or<br />

• Appli<strong>ca</strong>tions of Math 12 with “C” or better<br />

• English 12<br />
