Antineoplastic Drugs
pulmonary fibrosis, hyper-pigmentation, renal and
hepatic toxicity.
P/A: Injection 15 mg,30 mg vial.
Dose : 30 mg twice weekly I.V. or I.M. Total dose 300 - 400 mg
Small cell cancer - 0.25 mg - 0.5 mg / kg IV, IM, SC
once or twice weekly.
Hodgkins - 0.25 - 0.5 mg/kg IV, IM, SC.
D/ I : Digoxin and phenytoin levels decreased, increased
radiation toxicity. Oxygen increased pulmonary toxicity.
Cisplatin toxicity increased.

Mitomycin
I : Adenocarcinoma, lymphosarcoma, seminoma,
superficial bladder cancer, recurrent pterygium.
C/I: Haemorrhagic tendency, bonemarrow depression,
thrombocytopenia. Should not be given IM or SC.
P/C : Leucopenia, oral ulcers, monitor renal and
haematological status.
A/E: Leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, pneumopathy, renal
toxicity, stomatitis, thrombophlebitis, loss of appetite,
nausea, vomiting, loss of hair, skin rash and possible
haemolytic - uremic syndrome.
P/A: Injection 2 mg, 10mg vials
Dose : 10 mg/m 2 infused IV divided in 5 doses and infused
over 5 days.
D/I: Vinca alkaloids produce bronchospasm, bone marrow
depression on radiation therapy, increased
cardiotoxicity with doxorubicin, decreased antibody
response to vaccines.

Dactinomycin
I: Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasm, Wilm’s tumour,
childhood rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewing’s Sarcoma.
P/C: Slow IV push through side arm of running IV infusion.
A/E: Similar to Gemcitabine including mucocutancous effect.
P/A: 0.5 mg /vial inj
Dose: 15mcg/ kg IV daily for 5 days.
Cost : Inj. (0.5 mg) vial – Rs. 425.00
