122<strong>System</strong> <strong>Management</strong> <strong>User</strong> <strong>Guide</strong>4.15 <strong>Application</strong> Password MaintenanceOverviewThis option allows facilities to change the passwords to <strong>CPSI</strong> applications.<strong>Application</strong> Password MaintenanceSelect Special Functions > <strong>System</strong> <strong>Management</strong> > enter root password > <strong>System</strong> Security ><strong>Application</strong> Password MaintenanceFigure 4.64 <strong>Application</strong> Password MaintenanceTo change a password, select the desired application. The name of the selected application willappear in the bottom left corner of the screen with the following prompts:Enter Old PasswordEnter New PasswordRe-Enter New PasswordIf all lines have been entered correctly, the system will display, “Password successfully changed".If an incorrect “Old Password” is entered, the system will display: “Incorrect Password” and thecursor will return to the field for the correct password to be entered or enter 0 to exit. Once thecorrect old password has been entered, the cursor will advance to the “Enter New Password”prompt and then the “Re-Enter New Password". If the new passwords do not agree, the systemwill display “Passwords do not match, try again". If Enter is selected without assigning a passwordin the two new password prompts, the system will display: “No password has been assigned. OK?(Y/N)”. If Y is entered, the original password will be erased and leave the application withoutpassword security.
