ETO Case 000­50­5­44, U.S. v. Paul Tremmel, was tried at Dachau,<br />

Germany, on September 26, 1947, before a General Military Government<br />

Court. The case concerned one defendant, an SS sergeant at<br />

Mauthausen Concentration Camp <strong>and</strong> the sub­<strong>camp</strong> Wiener­Neustadt,<br />

Austria, where he served as a roll call leader. He was also involved in<br />

the evacuation of Wiener­Neustadt to the Steyr sub­<strong>camp</strong> in March<br />

1945. As approved by the reviewing authority, Tremmel was sentenced<br />

to death.<br />
