III.42 The United States Strategic Bombing Survey (USSBS) was established<br />

in November 1944 to study the effects of Allied aerial attacks on Germany<br />

<strong>and</strong> German­occupied Europe (European Survey) <strong>and</strong> on Japan (Pacific<br />

Survey). The agency was discontinued in October 1947.<br />

These records include a number of reports on the Wiener Neustaedter<br />

the use of slave labor from Mauthausen <strong>and</strong> its sub­<strong>camp</strong>s.<br />

These reports are arranged alphabetically by target. This series includes<br />
