VII.7 Captured German <strong>Records</strong> Microfilmed at Alex<strong>and</strong>ria, VA, are sub­<br />

divided into microfilm publications identified by “T” numbers. Original<br />

Mauthausen material is included in four microfilm publications as follows:<br />

1. <strong>Records</strong> of Private Austrian, Dutch, <strong>and</strong> German Enterprises,<br />

1917–1946 (T83), rolls 226–228. See German Guide No. 88. <strong>Records</strong> of<br />

the Reichswerke A.G. Alpine Montanbetriebe “Hermann Goering” in<br />

Linz, Austria. Included are reports, correspondence, regulations, <strong>and</strong><br />

employment statistics on German <strong>and</strong> foreign workers <strong>and</strong> Mauthausen<br />

Concentration Camp inmates.<br />

2. Miscellaneous German <strong>Records</strong> Collection, Part IV (T84), roll 337. See<br />

German Guide No. 90. Rosters of prisoners of war of Greek nationality<br />

<strong>and</strong> of stateless individuals at sub­<strong>camp</strong> Ebensee. Also includes lists of<br />

Dutch political prisoners released from Ebensee.<br />

3. <strong>Records</strong> of the Reich Leader of the SS <strong>and</strong> Chief of the German Police,<br />

Part III (T175), roll 415. See German Guide 39. Folder containing a<br />

signed (Rauff) carbon copy of a letter to Kripoamt/Kriminaltechnisches<br />

Institut, dealing with the request of KL Mauthausen for delivery of a<br />

gassing truck (Sonderwagon), Mar. 26, 1942.<br />

4. <strong>Records</strong> of the SS Economic <strong>and</strong> Administrative Office (Deutsche<br />

Wirtschaftsbetriebe G.m.b.H.) (T976), which provided labor, mainly by<br />

<strong>concentration</strong> <strong>camp</strong> inmates, for SS economic enterprises. See German<br />

Guide No. 83. Material pertaining to the use of slave labor, including<br />

records of complicit companies, is widely scattered through this publi­<br />

cation. Rolls 15, 16, 19, 21, 25, <strong>and</strong> 27 include correspondence, business<br />

reports, <strong>and</strong> statistical data on the Hermann Goering Werke, Linz,<br />

Deutsche Erd­ und Steinwerke, <strong>and</strong> other DWB enterprises using slave<br />

labor from the Mauthausen Complex.<br />
