17 rolls of 35 mm <strong>and</strong> 2 rolls of 16mm microfilm listed below. Additional<br />

Mauthausen materials are included in records of transport. <strong>Records</strong> of trans­<br />

ports from Mauthausen to other <strong>camp</strong>s are cited below under the destina­<br />

tion <strong>camp</strong> at the conclusion of the list.<br />

Mauthausen Prisoner Personnel Cards (Häftlings­Personal­Karte): Eight rolls<br />

with cards bearing the prisoner’s number, name, date <strong>and</strong> place of birth, mari­<br />

tal <strong>and</strong> family information, religion, nationality, place of residence, date <strong>and</strong> place<br />

of arrest, <strong>and</strong> physical characteristics. Many cards are over­stamped “HOL­<br />

LERITH­ERFASST,” meaning that the data had been punched onto German<br />

Hollerith computer cards. Work cards are also included for some inmates, list­<br />

ing their professions <strong>and</strong> dates <strong>and</strong> <strong>camp</strong>s where they worked. Germans, Italians,<br />

<strong>and</strong> Russians are the most represented nationalities, with some Belgians, Polish<br />

Jews, <strong>and</strong> others. The cards are arranged alphabetically as follows:<br />
