ASSISTANCE (HMGP)<br />

State agencies, Federally recognized Tribal<br />

governments, local governments and certain private<br />

nonprofit organizations (PNPs) can apply for HMGP<br />

assistance.<br />

To apply for HMGP grants, contact your <strong>GOHSEP</strong> HM<br />

State Applicant Liaison (SAL) or the State Hazard<br />

Mitigation Officer (SHMO). See the Contact Directory<br />

later in this <strong>Manual</strong> for contact information.<br />

Individuals are NOT eligible to apply for hazard<br />

mitigation funding. However, an eligible Applicant<br />

may apply for funding to mitigate private structures.<br />

Applications are made through Parish governing<br />

authorities.<br />
