and direction, information collection, processing and<br />
collation, analysis, dissemination and re-evaluation.<br />
LA-SAFE supports the State during major disasters and<br />
emergencies by gathering, analyzing and disseminating<br />
information to assist relevant agencies. LA-SAFE<br />
actively works to collect and analyze information,<br />
providing responsible parties with pertinent background<br />
information for decision-making, which permits resource<br />
maximization in the protection of the citizens of Louisiana.<br />
LA-SAFE evaluates all information provided, ensuring that<br />
the information retained and utilized is directly related to<br />
lawful purposes and has been legally obtained. It does<br />
not interfere with the free exercise of constitutionally<br />
guaranteed rights or privileges of individuals.<br />
Fusion Liaison Officer<br />
(FLO) Program<br />
Enhancing the partnership is the Fusion Liaison<br />
Officer (FLO) program. This program selects and trains<br />
local representatives who share crime and hazardrelated<br />
information with LA-SAFE.<br />
FLO: 5 Key Disciplines<br />
The FLO program strengthens information<br />
sharing and enhances multi-jurisdictional<br />
partnerships. It involves five (5) disciplines:<br />
• Law Enforcement<br />
• Fire<br />
• Emergency Medical Services (EMS)<br />
• Emergency Management Agencies<br />
• Critical Infrastructure/Key Resources<br />
(CI/KR)<br />
