More than 125 years have now passed since the foundation of<br />

the first WENDT company in April 1874 in Berlin and the name<br />

WENDT SIT keeps on going for a high customer satisfaction<br />

through quality and service. In 1960 WENDT group shifted their<br />

activities to Ludwigshafen and around the turn of the century<br />

to Frankenthal.<br />

From the classical supplier and manufacturer, WENDT advanced<br />

to be a service industry on technical matters presenting complete<br />

solutions from project planning to final assembly.<br />

Highly motivated, flexible and experienced employees ensure a<br />

high quality standard documented by the certificates according<br />

to ISO EN DIN 9001 and the security management system<br />

(SCC).<br />

The worldwide WENDT SIT activities comprise deliveries/<br />

supplies of customized sound proofing systems, heat and low<br />

temperature insulations in terotechnology and the installation<br />

of power stations as well as high temperature insulations of<br />

various kinds in engine construction. Technical advice, specific<br />

solutions to problems, development of acoustic systems and<br />

silencers on which WENDT SIT has patents as well as individual<br />

engineering performances made us famous.<br />

The WENDT SIT products are manufactured in own workshops<br />

and mounted through qualified employees worldwide. The<br />

documentation drawn up for this purpose enables the customer<br />

even to self-mounting. The WENDT SIT reference list reveals the<br />

The outdoor acoustic enclosure is a part of a power<br />

station located in the west of Dalby in Australia.<br />

Wendt SIT GmbH & Co. KG was ordered to deliver<br />

three equal acoustic enclosures with a completely<br />

new design, which is expected to become an execution<br />

standard for future projects.<br />

The enclosure is designed for an outdoor arrangement<br />

with the benefit to replace the turbine building<br />

of the power plant. This way of working leads to<br />

an enormous cost reduction and was one of the<br />

important arguments for the positive decision of the<br />

customer for this kind of execution.<br />

The static system of the enclosure consists in the<br />

transverse direction of frameworks; in longitudinal<br />

direction it is stabilized by the roof and vertical<br />

bracings.<br />

The static analysis acc. EC3 is calculated using a<br />

3D-model.<br />

Technical Data of the enclosure: Length 30,23 m;<br />

Width 14,13 m; Height 8,0 m; Weight of steel<br />

structure: ~ 70 tons per unit; Area of wall and roof<br />

elements: 1200 m²
