Between Dishna <strong>and</strong> Thebes nothing particular<br />

occurred. There is no scenery <strong>to</strong> describe on <strong>the</strong><br />

banks <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Nile so far as we have yet pro-<br />

gressed, <strong>and</strong> those travellers who have endea-<br />

voured <strong>to</strong> warm <strong>the</strong>ir imaginations in<strong>to</strong> a pictu-<br />

resque account <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> " flat " but not " unpro-<br />

fitable" aspect <strong>of</strong> things here, have been ei<strong>the</strong>r<br />
