<strong>the</strong> Blue Nile branch, <strong>and</strong> he spoke in admira-<br />

tion <strong>and</strong> respect <strong>of</strong> all that Bruce — that most<br />

calumniated <strong>of</strong> all travellers — wrote <strong>of</strong> that
