The pe<strong>ac</strong>e movement which had suffered a reverse in<br />

the jin<strong>go</strong>ism <strong>of</strong> March 1900, revived to come degree in<br />

the summer. The threatened annexation <strong>of</strong> the Boor<br />

Republica provided a common platform <strong>of</strong> opposition<br />

from opponents <strong>of</strong> the war, Zeetinge were hold on the<br />

subject and a petition was <strong>go</strong>t up. More London<br />

pe<strong>ac</strong>e meetings were held and provincial <strong>ac</strong>tivity<br />

revived, A large Manchester meeting was hold on 29th<br />

June with Hardie and Emily Dobhouee,<br />
