AS/NZS 4360 Risk Management Standard<br />
The Australian and New Zealand 4360 Risk Management Standard is a generic framework<br />
for establish<strong>in</strong>g the context, identify<strong>in</strong>g, analys<strong>in</strong>g, evaluat<strong>in</strong>g, treat<strong>in</strong>g, moni<strong>to</strong>r<strong>in</strong>g and<br />

Batter slope<br />
Recess<strong>in</strong>g or slop<strong>in</strong>g a wall back <strong>in</strong> successive courses.<br />
Benthic<br />
Referr<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> organisms liv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> or on the sediments of aquatic habitats (lakes, rivers,<br />
ponds, etc.).<br />
Berm<br />
A horizontal shelf or ledge built <strong>in</strong><strong>to</strong> an embankment or slop<strong>in</strong>g wall <strong>to</strong> break the cont<strong>in</strong>uity<br />
of the otherwise long slope for the purpose of strengthen<strong>in</strong>g and <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>g the stability<br />
of the slope, <strong>to</strong> catch or arrest slope slough material, or <strong>to</strong> control the flow of runoff water<br />
and erosion.<br />

The variety of life on our planet, measurable as the variety with<strong>in</strong> species, between species,<br />
