2.2 The programming quotas principle<br />

2.2.1 AVMS – Directive<br />

This principle assures that broadcasters<br />

reserve a majority proportion of their transmission time to European works<br />

that broadcasters reserve at least 10 % of their transmission time and<br />

at least 10 % of their programming budget, for European works –<br />

The European Works mainly extend to<br />

works originating from Member States;<br />

works originating from European third States party to the European Convention on Transfrontier Television<br />

of the Council of Europe and fulfilling the conditions of paragraph 2;<br />

works co-produced in the framework of agreements related to the audiovisual sector concluded between<br />

the European Community and third countries and fulfilling the conditions defined within each of these<br />

agreements.<br />
