5.2 Commissioning for daily operation

The Condair Dual Hybrid Humidifier must be commissioned and operated
only by personnel familiar with the unit and adequately qualified
for the task. Ascertaining the qualification is the customer’s responsibility.
The Condair Dual Hybrid Humidifier is operated via the control unit. The
control unit provides the following display and control elements:

The following description outlines the commissioning procedure for daily
operation. It is assumed that first-time commissioning has been carried out
properly by the service technician of your Condair supplier. Proceed as
follows to prepare the Condair Dual Hybrid Humidifier for operation:
• Check the installation and all system components for damage.
Caution! Do not put the system into operation in case of damaged
installations or system components.
• Make sure the ceramic plates are correctly located and properly sealed.
Caution! Put the system into operation only if the above requirements
are met without fail.
• Set the mains supply service switch (power supply to control unit) to
“On”.
• First set the power switch of the control unit to “I”, then open the shutoff
valve of the water supply conduit. The control system now carries
out a basic system test while the “Humidification on” and “Error”
indicators light up. Once the test is completed the drain valve opens for
approximately 20 seconds (flushing of the permeate conduit).
