Do antigo largo apenas uma área lateral à igreja — que contém um pináculo de concreto homenageando Antonio Landi — restou para lembrar a outrora área de festas e comemorações do período junino. For the São João Church, Landi made the only three 18 th century wall paintings in tromp-l’oeil existing in the country. Nowadays, the Largo de São João Batista is surrounded by public buildings, and was almost entirely turned into a parking lot, which prevents the people of the borough from enjoying it. It is now officially called República do Líbano Square, but the name finds no resonance in popular usage. Of the ancient largo, only one area to the side of the church remains, containing a concrete pinnacle in honor of Antonio Landi, as a memento of the original site for the June festivals of yore.
