Parkins<strong>on</strong> was Dudley lecturer in 1839, and Oldbury lecturer in 1838<br />
and 1839. At <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Jf<strong>on</strong>thZy Jfeeting he preached <strong>on</strong> 6 March, 1838, in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
New Meeting, Birmingham. He is buried in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> yard ; a discoloured tablet<br />
in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> meeting-house, close to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> ceiling, and a flat st<strong>on</strong>e over his grave<br />
record his name and dates ; also those <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> his daughter, Marianne (d. 1841),<br />
and <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>-<br />
Susanna Dethick, daughter <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Rev. Jerm. Dethick, <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Bard<strong>on</strong> Chapel,<br />
who died March 15th, 1853, in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> 86th year <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> her age.<br />

died December aoth, 1856, aged 78 years.<br />
The exterior walls <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> meeting-house at back and sides are covered<br />
with ivy, and <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> whole place outside and inside shows <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> care and attenti<strong>on</strong><br />
now paid to it. There is <strong>on</strong>e centre aisle with seats <strong>on</strong> ei<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>r side ; at <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
top <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> aisle, immediately opposite to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> well-curtained inner door,<br />
stands <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> communi<strong>on</strong> table, in fr<strong>on</strong>t <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> pulpit, to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> right <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> which<br />
is <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> organ with its gilt pipes, placed <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>re in 1879-80,<br />
The registers, which <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> author saw in July, 1898, cover <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> period<br />
from 1695 to 1837 for baptisms, and from 1822 to 1836 for burials.<br />
