inches by 10 inches ; total height, 15% inches; double lined border all round.<br />

Probably <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> " Thomas Keay, Esq., Whitchurch," in Belsham's list, who<br />

entered Daventry academy in 1786 ; grands<strong>on</strong> to Ebenezer Keay ztt sup.]<br />

[A most interesting brass, circular head, in which coat <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> arms ; inscripti<strong>on</strong>,<br />

evidently engraved in secti<strong>on</strong>s as required, in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> obl<strong>on</strong>g, 12% inches by 10%<br />

inches ; total height, 16% inches ; has border exactly similar to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Lydia<br />

Collyer brass at sup. Thomas Yate was bro<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>r to Grace Yate, who married<br />

Samuel Beni<strong>on</strong>, M.D., minister at Broad Oak, 1696-1706, and Shrewsbury,<br />

1706-170s. Dearnford, or Danford Hall, a fine old mansi<strong>on</strong>, is about <strong>on</strong>e mile<br />

from Whitchurch, <strong>on</strong> road to Tilstock.]<br />

[A circular headed brass, with crest and coat <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> arms in it, also first<br />

word <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> inscripti<strong>on</strong> ; rest in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> obl<strong>on</strong>g, 12 inches by 10 inches ; total height,<br />

16% inches. This was <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> John Yate, extracts from whose diary were given<br />

by <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> author in Seedsower, 1894, pp. 108-9. He lived in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> old house in<br />

Dodingt<strong>on</strong>, still standing, a little lower down than <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> meeting-house, <strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

o<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>r side <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> road.]<br />
