[A fine brass; bordered with two thin lines ; circular headed ; crest and
coat <strong>of</strong> arms above ; inscription in oblong, 16% inches by 13 inches ; total
height, 20% inches ; for obituary see Arlbnth@ Refository, 1822, p. 377. A marble
tablet to his memory was also placed in Ash Church at <strong>the</strong> time when his
remains, with o<strong>the</strong>rs, were re-interred in a vault in that churchyard, after
Divine worship ceased in Presbyterian Meeting-house, in 1844.1
