011 Sunday, 14 July, 1895, <strong>the</strong> Rev. John Harrison began his duties
as Missionary Agent, or minister at large, for <strong>the</strong> Province ; <strong>the</strong> congrega-
tions at Small Heath, and at Wolverhampton, being <strong>the</strong>n especially placed
under his guidance and care. Froin that time to <strong>the</strong> close <strong>of</strong> 1898, he
found full and successf~~l opportunity for work in <strong>the</strong> Province, in <strong>the</strong>
oversight <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> aided <strong>Churches</strong>, <strong>the</strong> helping <strong>of</strong> weak causes, and <strong>the</strong>
opening up <strong>of</strong> new ground ; work which owing to ill-health, Mr. Harrison,
to <strong>the</strong> regret <strong>of</strong> all his friends, had <strong>the</strong>n to relinquish.
