Annual Japanese longline CPUE for both yellowfin and bigeye in the Phoenix Islands portion
of the Kiribati EEZ were diagrammed for 1962 to 1990 (TBAP 1993, see Figures III-5.9 and
III-5.10 below).

Distribution of 1985 to 1990 purse seine tuna catches with in the Kiribati EEZ (including the
Phoenix Islands) were presented by TBAP (1993), see Figure III-5.11 below.
