Last year nearly half a mill-<br />

ion trade-dollars were melt-<br />

ed at <strong>the</strong> m<strong>in</strong>t at Osaka, to<br />

be made <strong>in</strong>to Japanese yens,<br />

and this 3'ear a large num-<br />

ber have met a similar fate.<br />
