To European civil society<br />

1. Undertake inclusive and vigilant action to monitor and participate in the<br />

assessment and revision of the present EU biofuel policy. This action could<br />

build on the multi-actor platform being constructed in Western and Eastern<br />

Europe in the context of the Committee on World Food Security Civil Society<br />

Mechanism.<br />

2. Ensure that advocacy on land grabbing and biofuels undertaken by<br />

European civil society organisations supports the objectives defined by those<br />

most affected by these policies and practices. The Global Alliance against Land<br />

Grabbing launched at the International Conference against Land Grabbing in<br />

Mali in November 2011 provides a framework to ensure this.<br />
