LUBRICATION<br />

AGREEMENT<br />

The value of the Lubrication Agreement to Cadillac distributors<br />

and dealers is no longer questioned. This single<br />

service has brought over a million calls to distributors' and<br />

dealers' service stations since it was introduced by Cadillac<br />

in 1931.<br />

The Cadillac-LaSaile Lubrication Agreement is based on the<br />

idea of tnutal advantage to .both the car otvner and the service<br />

station—intended to assure owner satisfaction through regular,<br />

expert service at a saving to the owner.<br />

By purchasing his lubrication work in advance, the owner<br />

receives Cadillac lubrication and inspection service at lOOOmile<br />

intervals for a period of 12,000 miles at a price reduction<br />

of more than 2 5 per cent.<br />

The Lubrication Agreement includes all lubrication operations<br />

on a schedule recommended by Cadillac engineers and<br />

all lubricants except the engine oil which it is the owner's<br />

responsibility to add between the regular 1000-mile inspections.<br />

It also includes two changes of rear axle and transmission<br />

lubricant and six changes of engine oil in addition to<br />

lubrication of all chassis points.<br />

Although the sale of Lubrication Agreements is primarily a<br />

service department activity, the benefits that a salesman may<br />

secure from having his customers as Lubrication Agreement<br />

holders will justify considerable effort on his part to sell one<br />

of these agreements to each new car purchaser.<br />

Repeat sale business can be secured more easily if owners<br />

return regularly to the dealer's service station. Periodic contacts<br />

secured through the sale of Lubrication Agreements assure<br />

satisfactory operation of the car, correction of any misunderstanding<br />

that might occur, and advance information on<br />

the owner's plans for future purchases.<br />
