26. Related party transactions
Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a body incorporated by the issue of a licence of authorisation from
Monitor.
The Trust is under the common control of the Board of Directors. During the year none of the Board Members or members of
the key management staff or parties related to them, has undertaken any material transactions with the Great Western
Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
It should be noted that the Trust has a Non- Executive Director, Cllr Kevin Small, who is also a Councillor for Swindon
Borough Council with whom the Trust has had material transactions relating mainly to the Section 106 agreement (£2.9m)
and our Pooled Budget (£936k)
The Department of Health is regarded as a related party. During 2011/12 the Trust has had a significant number of material
transactions with other entities for which the Department is regarded as the Parent Department. These entities are listed
below.

The Trust has also received revenue payments from a number of charitable funds, certain of the Trustees for which are also
members of the Trust Board. The audited accounts of these Funds held on Trust are not included in this annual report and
accounts and will be audited and published at a later date. A copy of these will be available on the Trusts' internet site.
