3.4 Regulation Disclosures<br />

1 Where any market values of fixed assets are known to be significantly different from the values<br />

at which those assets are held in the Trust’s financial statements, <strong>and</strong> the difference is, in the<br />

directors’ opinion, of such significance that readers of the accounts should have their attention<br />

drawn to it, the difference in values will be stated with as much precision as is practical <strong>and</strong><br />

reported in the notes to the accounts.<br />

2 <strong>The</strong>re are no political or charitable donations to disclose.<br />

3 Any important events since the end of the financial year affecting the Trust will be recorded as a<br />

post balance sheet event <strong>and</strong> noted in the accounts.<br />

4 An indication of likely future developments at the Trust is included in the Trust’s <strong>Annual</strong> Plan.<br />

5 An indication of any significant activities in the field of research <strong>and</strong> development is reported<br />

elsewhere in this report (section 3.8 refers).<br />

6 <strong>The</strong> Trust does not have branches outside the UK.<br />

7 Details of policies applied during the financial year for giving full <strong>and</strong> fair consideration to<br />

applications for employment made by disabled persons, having regard to their particular<br />

aptitudes <strong>and</strong> abilities are available on request to the Trust.<br />

8 Details of policies applied during the financial year for continuing the employment of, <strong>and</strong> for<br />

arranging appropriate training for, employees who have become disabled persons during the<br />

period are available on request to the Trust.<br />

9 Details of policies applied during the financial year for the training, career development <strong>and</strong><br />

promotion of disabled employees are available on request to the Trust.<br />

10 <strong>The</strong> circulation of a “Team Brief” (an electronic site communication) is one regular action taken<br />

in the financial year to provide employees systematically with information on matters of concern<br />

to them as employees.<br />

11 To enable consultation with employees, following on from the merger with Wiltshire Community<br />

Health Services on 1 June 2011, a new employee partnership agreement was drawn up which<br />

covered the new organisation. <strong>The</strong> Employee Partnership Forum is made up of representatives<br />

from the trades unions <strong>and</strong> management. <strong>The</strong> agenda covers Trust developments <strong>and</strong><br />

financial information, as well as consultation on policies <strong>and</strong> change programmes.<br />

12 Actions taken in the financial year to encourage the involvement of employees in the Trust’s<br />

performance include regular all staff briefings by the Chief Executive. Staff are encouraged to<br />

ask questions <strong>and</strong> seek further information directly.<br />

13 Actions taken in the financial year to achieve a common awareness on the part of all employees<br />

of the financial <strong>and</strong> economic factors affecting the performance of the Trust include site<br />

communication with staff <strong>and</strong> Team Brief circulation.<br />
