For this <strong>in</strong>dicator, <strong>the</strong>re is hardly a difference between micro, small <strong>and</strong> medium-sized<br />

firms <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> P&P <strong>in</strong>dustry. The large firms lead <strong>the</strong> development here (about 30% send<br />

or receive e-<strong>in</strong>voices). This picture is confirmed <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>terviews <strong>and</strong> case studies (see<br />

section 4.2).<br />

When only look<strong>in</strong>g at those companies that actually use e-<strong>in</strong>voic<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>the</strong> average share<br />

of e-<strong>in</strong>voices (measured as percentage of a company's total <strong>in</strong>voices sent or received) is<br />

slightly lower <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> P&P <strong>in</strong>dustry than on average <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> 10 sectors. Companies that<br />

practise e-<strong>in</strong>voic<strong>in</strong>g report that about 13% of <strong>in</strong>voices sent are e-<strong>in</strong>voices, <strong>and</strong> about 9%<br />

of <strong>in</strong>voices received (see Exhibit 3-21).<br />
