2) Minimising Construction Waste<br />
Points are not achieved until the minimization of construction waste is guaranteed by the<br />
following measures.<br />
“The Site Waste Management Plan must include procedures <strong>and</strong> commitments <strong>for</strong> reducing<br />
waste generated on site in accordance with best practice 73 <strong>and</strong> the defined waste groups (1<br />
point).<br />
AND<br />
The Site Waste Management Plan must include procedures <strong>and</strong> commitments to sort <strong>and</strong><br />
divert waste from l<strong>and</strong>fill (reuse, recycle, compost or otherwise recover) according to the<br />
defined waste groups. This must be per<strong>for</strong>med either on site or through a licensed external<br />
contractor, in accordance with best practice (1 point).”<br />
Checklists <strong>for</strong> monitoring <strong>and</strong> documentation are provided within the technical manual of<br />
CSH.<br />
Social (<strong>and</strong> environmental) responsibility<br />
Man2: Considerate Constructors Scheme:<br />
Assessing the impacts of construction site activities, CSH follows a comprehensive approach<br />
requiring a specific score within the so-called “Considerate Constructors Scheme” 74 which is<br />
a voluntary UK certification scheme encouraging the considerate management of<br />
construction sites with respect to environmental <strong>and</strong> especially social aspects. The scheme<br />
