IBO - <strong>Environmental</strong> <strong>and</strong> Health <strong>related</strong> Criteria <strong>for</strong> Buildings<br />

Innovation credits that can be awarded <strong>for</strong> any one building assessed is 10; there<strong>for</strong>e the<br />

maximum available score achieved <strong>for</strong> ‘innovation’ is 10%.<br />

The credits are added together to produce an overall score on a scale of Pass, Good, Very<br />

Good, Excellent <strong>and</strong> Outst<strong>and</strong>ing.<br />

< 30% = Unclassified<br />

≥ 30% = Pass<br />

≥ 45% = Good<br />

≥ 55% = Very Good<br />

≥ 70% = Excellent<br />

≥ 85% = Outst<strong>and</strong>ing (besides >= 85% percentage score, there are additional requirements<br />

<strong>for</strong> achieving a BREEAM Outst<strong>and</strong>ing rating)<br />

To achieve a BREEAM rating, the minimum percentage score (>=30%) must be achieved<br />

<strong>and</strong> the minimum st<strong>and</strong>ards (i.e. number of credits achieved <strong>for</strong> specific sub-categories)<br />

applicable to that rating level complied with (see Table 4).<br />
