IBO - Environmental and Health related Criteria for Buildings
Innovation credits that can be awarded for any one building assessed is 10; therefore the
maximum available score achieved for ‘innovation’ is 10%.
The credits are added together to produce an overall score on a scale of Pass, Good, Very
Good, Excellent and Outstanding.
< 30% = Unclassified
≥ 30% = Pass
≥ 45% = Good
≥ 55% = Very Good
≥ 70% = Excellent
≥ 85% = Outstanding (besides >= 85% percentage score, there are additional requirements
for achieving a BREEAM Outstanding rating)
To achieve a BREEAM rating, the minimum percentage score (>=30%) must be achieved
and the minimum standards (i.e. number of credits achieved for specific sub-categories)
applicable to that rating level complied with (see Table 4).
