workplaces. The MAK values have there<strong>for</strong>e been adjusted by suitable factors when deriving<br />

the LCI values <strong>for</strong> normal indoor living spaces (AgBB 2005). Table 27 shows exemplarily<br />

some AgBB-LCI values.<br />

According to MAUPETIT (2010) voluntary actions (product labels, EPDs, green building<br />

certification, NEHAP initiatives) have not been successful in France <strong>for</strong> providing in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

on emissions of volatile compounds from building products. There<strong>for</strong>e m<strong>and</strong>atory<br />

requirements have been decided on in the framework of the “Grenelle de l’environnement”<br />

consensus action.<br />
