<strong>FDR</strong>688 PROGRAM ERROR -- UNABLE TO error description<br />

Reason: The <strong>FDR</strong>EPORT catalog processor failed for the reason displayed.<br />

Action: Contact INNOVATION DATA PROCESSING for assistance.<br />

<strong>FDR</strong>689 request REQUEST SUCCESSFUL<br />

Reason: The indicate <strong>FDR</strong>ARCH request was completed successfully.<br />

<strong>FDR</strong>690 pgmname ERROR CODE=nnnnnnnn<br />

Reason: <strong>FDR</strong>TSEL received a non-zero code upon return from the program whose name<br />

appears in the message.<br />

Action: Examine the accompanying error messages generated by the failing program, contact<br />

INNOVATION DATA PROCESSING if assistance is required.<br />

<strong>FDR</strong>691<br />

Reason:<br />

<strong>FDR</strong>TSEL SELECTING nnnnn UNIQUE TAPE VOLUME SERIALS.<br />

<strong>FDR</strong>TSEL VOLUME TABLE. THE FOLLOWING nnnnn VOLUMES WILL BE REQUESTED:<br />

These are informational messages indicating the number files that <strong>FDR</strong>TSEL has<br />

selected for copying the number of unique tape volumes that will be allocated and the<br />

number tape mounts that will be performed based on the sequence of the tape<br />

mounts. A list of TAPE volume serial numbers, in the order they will be requested<br />

immediately follows these messages.<br />

<strong>FDR</strong>692 type BACKUP SELECTED DSN=dsname VOL=volser<br />

Reason: The ARCHIVE or CATLG backup data set name shown in the message was selected for<br />

processing.<br />

<strong>FDR</strong>693<br />

Reason:<br />

ARCHIVE FILE RECORD UPDATED - VOL=volser ADATE=yyyy.ddd<br />

DSNAME=dsname<br />

This message indicates that the archive file record containing the archive backup (that<br />

was copied or moved) was updated to reflect the new archive backup volumes. This<br />

message is output for all data sets contained in the archive backup.<br />

<strong>FDR</strong>694 REASON=reason<br />

Reason: The checkpoint/restart function of <strong>FDR</strong>TSEL was requested but it failed. Reason codes<br />

are:<br />

A OPEN FOR DD TSELCKPT FAILED – Check the job log of the <strong>FDR</strong>TSEL<br />

job for IBM messages. Check that the TSELCKPT DD is correct.<br />

B RESTART REQUESTED AND CHKPT FILE IS EMPTY –<br />

C RE-OPEN FOR DD TSELCKPT FAILED –<br />

D TSELCKPT FILE ID MISTMATCH – An internal ID in the checkpoint file<br />

was incorrect. The file has been corrupted.<br />

E PREMATURE END OF FILE ENCOUNTERED ON CHECKPOINT FILE –<br />

The checkpoint file was not completely written or has been corrupted.<br />

F CONTROL STATEMENT VERIFICATION ERROR, SOURCE DOES NOT<br />

MATCH RESTART – Control statements used during the restart do not<br />

match those of the original <strong>FDR</strong>TSEL job.<br />

G RESTART RECORD ERROR, RECORD DOES NOT BEGIN WITH SELT,<br />

SELX, DSNR OR COMP – An internal error in the restart records was<br />

encountered. The file has been corrupted.<br />

I RESTART RECORD SEQUENCE ERROR code – An internal error in the<br />

restart records was encountered. “code” further describes the error.<br />

H OBTAIN FAILED FOR CHECK POINT DATA SET – The checkpoint file<br />

was not on the disk volume indicated by the JCL.<br />
